Scheduling

Scheduling... this is a term often used in conjunction with work. I have a slight different usage for this term. I have started applying "scheduling" in personal life, and have been able to provide time to fun, work, personal development, travel, family, ideas implementation, research etc...
During the early years of job, i was quite full of ideas, with various kind of ideas flowing out of my head. Those ideas used to make me very excited. But, I never implemented them... thus i started getting angry on myself sometimes. slowly, even the ideas flowing became slower. That was it!! It was like melting point of the ice.
Thats when i started scheduling the stuff. It wasnt easy initially, but did produce results in long term. One of the areas where scheduling helped me was - i was able to work my way through everything in such a fashion that, i didnt allow one to intervene in another..... y because, the other area will have its time as per the schedule.
For me scheduling means...on an overall perspective... simply declare and assign a particular time-track for each task that i may have on hand. The task on hand... can be ..... buying movie tocket, going for shopping, talking to friends, talking to client, preparing growth plan. etc.
I wonder now, was that a first step into making realistically achievable growth plans!!
Scheduling didnt allow me to go in depth, but just analyze the tasks and align a day / period for various activities.
Scheduling can be done on a broader perspective [as big as year]... or a narrower perspective [a small as day].
When you start your work day... simply make a list of items that you need done today. and then dont deviate from that list. Hey.. guess what... you may not achieve 100% of it... but atleast 80%... which is better than 50% or 60%.
